Isabella Sun – 3rd Prize 2022 Young Artist
Isabella Sun has been a student of Sydney Conservatorium’s highly selective Rising Stars program under Mr Fox Chan since the age of 8 and has received the Victor Cromack and Melba Alma Harris Cromack Memorial scholarship due to her outstanding performances.
In 2019, Isabella was selected to participate in the 3rd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians in China. In 2022, Isabella received first prize in the American Virtuoso International Competition, giving her the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall. Alongside this, Isabella has also received many prizes in other competitions such as 2nd prize in the 2021 International Balys Dvarionas Competition, 2nd prize in the 2022 Strike a Chord National Chamber Competition, 1st prize in many Sydney Eisteddfod age categories, as well obtaining her LMusA at the age of 13. These events are further testaments to her talents as both a remarkable soloist and an experienced violinist.
